We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The B&B style with the dedicated breakfast room overlooking Jiufen was very cute. The room was a little small, but not too small -- there was enough room for our bags and stuff we bought along the way. We only stayed for one night without suitcases -- if you're taking big suitcases the room might feel a little cramped and there are a lot of stairs to get to the hotel, so keep that in mind if you have luggage. Everyone in the hotel gathered together in the breakfast room for food, so it was nice eating among all the travelers from various countries -- and the breakfast itself was good with several food and drink options. The common area balcony overlooking Jiufen didn't have the most stunning views, but we liked that it was an option -- not all Jiufen hotels have a community balcony overlooking the village so that made this one a little more special. The hotel hosts were very kind and explained a lot about the hotel when we checked in.

Five minutes walking to the Jiufen Old Street but a bit of a hike from the main bus stop. Refrigerator and microwave in common space. Hot water dispenser (which comes in handy for making instant noodles since all the restaurants close before 8PM). Breakfast included: warm hard boiled eggs, toast, jam, rolls, butter, cabbage with vegan meat, pork floss, rice soup, coffee and orange juice. Sea view from the common room was nice. Room was small but very clean, comfortable and adequate for a night. Common space was pleasant and allowed for chatting with other guests. The simple welcome snack was a nice touch. Hot water, wifi, A/C all working fine

If you're coming on the bus from Taipei/Riufang, you'll likely have to walk up the stairs through the crowded Old Street which can be annoying. But the area the hotel is actually in is not crowded at all. Very beautiful rooms and hotel, and the breakfast was really really good. I wish I had stayed another day just to explore the area more. I definitely recommend waking up early and walking around the town around/just after sunrise, it's very beautiful to see the houses on the hills and the ocean in the distance with not many other people around.

Beautiful accommodation, lovely staff, incredible view from the dining tea room and the deck. It's a nice escape above in the mountains away from Old Street, but an easy walk down to the busy historical market. I loved watching the birds and butterflies, as well as the incredible view of Keelung mountain and the distant islands across the water. As a vegan, I still had options at breakfast too. and I would have stayed longer if it wasn't booked out.

The view from the dining area was amazing, I feel like I could stare at it all day. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. The female staff was very helpful in provide food recommendations and suggestions before and during my stay. Typical taiwanese breakfast was nice. It is a traditional toilet where the shower is in the same area as the toilet bowl but helps that rubber slippers are provided for the toilet. Free coffee and tea whole day.
